Last night Dave gave Olivia a Butterfinger candy bar after the first house. No big deal (you would think). However, by doing that, he unleashed a monster. Last night she wandered around the house in her Care Bear costume, smothered in chocolate, holding her hands up to any surface she couldn’t reach and saying over and over “num num, num num”. Clearly an addict. This has carried over to today. And it doesn’t help any that Taylor and Sara have been sorting and dumping candy all day.
Taylor has been so cute with his candy. He really is a good little guy. He went through all his candy and picked out all the candy bars that he knows his dad likes (mostly Almond Joys) and set them aside for him. Seriously? He’s four. Who does that? Then, he handed me his full-size Snickers and Milky Way candy bars and told me that they were for me and Dave. He got one of our Halloween candy bowls and put mine and Dave’s candy in there. He then proceeded to load it up with tootsie rolls, Kit Kats, all his full-size candy bars (except for the Crunch bar- he loves that), licorice, Hershey Bars… you get the point.
Sara is all about her candy. She’s not about to sort and share. She’s a little candy nazi.
