Getting real

Tonight I informed Dave that I need a get-away to the Grand America for his birthday. He said, "Don't you mean you need to take me there for my birthday?" To which I replied, "I don't make any money." It's true. Sure, we both have our roles that make our world go round but for me, that involves zero money production. I can incubate a pretty darn good lookin' baby though. I hold my baby incubating skills right up there with my bow staff skills, nunchuck skills, and computer hacking skills.

Later in the conversation I let him know that it would be nice to get flowers every once in a while. His response, "Can I email you some?" Ahhhh.... true love.

Hey Napoleon,

You really do make pretty babies. I hope you get that awesome getaway, or at least a great drawing of you with an invitation to the prom.

Ha! You are too funny. About book club, I haven't picked my book yet. Tonight I am going to finish reading "The History of Love" and I'll probably do that one. Tomorrow is Book Club so I am finally forced into making a choice. I haven't read "Family Matters" yet but now I'm worried that I should have read that first and picked that one. OH well. It's on my nightstand. I only have so much time to plow through 47 books. This is killing me!

Fern, I think you will need something larger than a bug...

Ahh marriage... some aspects of dating really were great, weren't they? Oh well, what do you do? Obviously none of us (well, at least me) wants to go back to that just for flowers, right? I think the guys learn that if their wife is happy, life really is a better place.....
