Flashback Friday

In Taylor's younger years, he had two loves (besides me and Dave, of course) - his mimi (binky) and his cici (blankie). He was accompanied by these two items wherever he went. Though the binky is now just a faded memory, the blankie still makes Taylor's world go round. Whenever he is hurt, sad, scared and crying, the first words that come wailing out of his mouth are "bwankie, bwaaaaaaankie." It began as a whitish blankie with quilted baby thingies all over it and tied with blue yarn. It has been loved into a grayish color and the quilting has definitely seen better days. If you hold it up, you can pretty much see right through it. It has been mended over and over. When Dave was younger he had a blanket that he loved as well. When it got so old that holes were wearing through, his mom folded it in half and sewed it together. Brilliant! Who knows- we may be taking the same path soon enough.

In this picture, he is laying on his happy, new, clean blanket.

This was Taylor's first haircut. He wasn't too happy about it so we brought in the reinforcements.

And here he is today with his "bwankie"
