The Melting Pot

Okay, you know how I said I haven't been taking pictures at restaurants lately? Well, scratch that. Last night we went to The Melting Pot with Russ & Nat and Alan & Sam. I brought my camera, you know, just in case. I'm glad I did! We had so much fun!

Here we are looking a little fierce. I figure we needed to look fierce while eating fondue because we were wielding not one, but two, fondue forks.

Russ and Nat brought Amelia along. See her eyeing that bread... she was all about the fondue (not that she eats anything but milk but I can say whatever I want seeing as how this is my blog and I have never stated that all info on this blog is true or accurate...) See how fantastic Aunt Nat looks? Please remember that.

Sam and Alan looking cute and put-together. Each couple is given a platter of food to share. Lucky for Alan, Sam has a small appetite which mean Alan ate 3/4 of the meal, rather than the 1/2 the rest of us ate. We practically had to roll him outta there.

This picture of Russ and Amelia shows exactly how things were- steamy. Very very steamy. And delicious. And fun.

Natalie had this fantastic idea that each couple should feed each other some dessert fondue. Everyone else had it down. Not sure what happened here... All I know is that it made for a good laugh. Nat, I hope you won't give me up for sister-in-law adoption after seeing that I posted this picture of you on the Internet. Remember how you helped me start this blog? You knew what I was when you picked me up... It was done with love n stuff.

This was so fun and definitely something we should do again!

What did you think of the Melting Pot? I keep trying to get Scott to try it, but we've heard it's REALLY expensive.

Nikki- we went because of the dine-o-round downtown. We paid $30/person but made a couple substitutions so it was a little more than that. Had we not done the dine around, I think the cheapest thing was $77/couple. It was fun. I would recommend it, maybe not to eat at once a month, but it's definitely worth trying once or twice. It's good to go with more than just one couple because you can get two different cheeses, chocolates, etc...
